The 53rd NAMCYA MUSIKA PANAGTIPON: Music Camp Series officially opened today, May 21, at the Ilocandia Cultural Center, welcoming more than three hundred participants from different provinces across the country.
The four-day music camp, which runs until May 24, 2026 organized by the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA) in partnership with the City Government of Batac and the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte, features five workshop categories: Traditional Music, Strings, Rondalla, Music Education, and Choir. The program aims to develop young artists, strengthen musical skills, and promote appreciation for Filipino music and culture.
During the opening ceremony held at the ICC Main Theater, Mayor Markee R. Chua warmly welcomed the guests, facilitators, mentors, and participants, expressing the City Government of Batac’s pride and gratitude in hosting this year’s NAMCYA Music Camp Series.
