The City Government of Batac continued its recovery efforts today, July 16, with the release of financial assistance to registered workers and helpers of market vendors affected by the recent fire incident. Each beneficiary received Php 3,000.00.
The first batch of cash donations received by the City Government was also distributed. Stallholders received assistance ranging from Php 5,000.00 to Php 20,000.00 based on the assessed and validated damages to their stalls, while each registered worker/helper received Php 1,500.00.
A total of Php 1,678,260.00 in cash donations received from July 6 to 14 was released today. Donations received from July 15 onwards will be included in a separate round of assistance as the City Government continues its efforts to support the recovery of market vendors and workers.
Rang-ay Bank also extended assistance to stallholders, reflecting the growing support of institutions and partners for the recovery and rebuilding of the Batac Public Market community.
